WE DON’T MAKE JEWELRY THAT STAYS PERFECT. WE MAKE JEWELRY THAT GETS BETTER.
Our sterling silver is handcrafted with an oxidized finish. No coatings to preserve some artificial idea of “new.” Each piece arrives polished and clean, but from there, it’s up to you.
The more you wear it, the more it becomes yours. Your piece will darken over time and develop a more matte finish. That’s sterling silver oxidizing from your skin and daily wear. Some customers prefer big and old and never take their pieces off. Others keep them polished longer by storing them properly. There’s no wrong answer. Every person wears this differently.
Think about things that actually improve with use: a quality leather wallet that molds to your pocket, an aluminum suitcase that shows every journey, a mechanical watch that earns its character on your wrist. Premium materials don’t stay static. They respond to how you use them.
Your piece will wear at its own pace. How fast depends on how often you wear it and how it’s exposed to air. A ring you wear daily might tarnish faster than a pendant you wear occasionally. A bracelet on your working hand will darken differently than one you rotate. That’s not inconsistency. That’s real sterling silver doing what it does when it’s uncoated and solid.
TAKE BETTER CARE OF YOUR PIECES WITH OUR PREMIUM POLISHING CLOTH
DAILY WEAR: Wear it however you want. Body oils are fine. Normal life won’t hurt it. Skip swimming (chlorine and salt accelerate darkening) and avoid direct contact with harsh chemicals like household cleaners or dish soap while washing dishes. Showers are fine.
WHEN YOU’RE NOT WEARING IT: Keep your piece in the airtight bag we include with every order. It limits air exposure and slows the darkening process. Useful if you want to keep that polished look longer, or if you’re storing something long-term.
MAINTENANCE: Most of the time, if you’re not into letting it wear into the darkening, a gentle wipe with a soft cloth works. We have a treated polishing cloth available that’s designed to lift tarnish without stripping the oxidation. 100% cotton, no harsh chemicals. You don’t need it, but it’s there.
WHAT NOT TO DO: Don’t use silver cleaners meant for utensils. Don’t use chemical dips or ultrasonic cleaners. These remove the intentional finish we created and can damage your piece.
FOR THOSE WHO KNOW: An oxidized finish is what separates real sterling silver from bright, shiny fashion jewelry. People who understand the material recognize it immediately. Each scratch tells a story. Every mark is proof of where you’ve been. That’s not something to prevent. That’s the whole point.
THE REALITY: In six months, your piece will look different than it does today. It’s going to darken. It’s going to show you’ve worn it. And it’s not going to turn your skin green or fall apart. Solid sterling silver, handcrafted in Bali, built to age and built to last.
THAT’S WHAT “BETTER WITH AGE” ACTUALLY MEANS.
